I’m Back

Back from what or for what I have yet to know in all my 47 years. As I write these words a cold front is pushing itself across the country, across my State and through my County. Tonight while we sleep we toss and turn in our beds awaiting the turmoil this storm might bring. The wind as of now is whipping in all directions, gusts making my wind chimes clang as I sit on the porch in the dark. Gusts blow through the branches and trees and I hear the rustle of whatever leaves are still holding on to their home. I have an old smaller metal windmill that has lost its bearings, as some people themselves do, and hear it grinding metal on metal when the wind really picks up. I love storms, I grew up most of my life in Arizona, the monsoon would come through yearly with its dust, wind and downpours. So to be in the south surrounded by trees, I enjoy what the storms have to offer here.Different storms for different places. Which at times can be alot and more than can be handled. Such is life really. I have been watching Joan Didion on Netflix, and I must say I envy here life, parts of it. To be able to write, for a living, what a dream. It excites me to think of such a life, to travel for inspiration, to have people pay you for your words and thoughts! Most women are not paid for their words and thoughts, most people, mainly men don’t want that from a woman. But I digress, I just need to write.Write and write, so much in me that I just need to write.
